It seems it was just a couple days ago that we were making predictions on the BlackBerry Curve series and what sort of features it would sport. Would it have GPS? Would it have Wi-Fi? Would it have GPS and Wi-Fi? By now, we know the answers, but nevertheless, there have been a ton of people annoyed at the fact that they left GPS behind when they switched from the BlackBerry 8800 to the BlackBerry Curve. While not officially available from AT&T yet, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 has started showing up in stores across the country. The launch date looks like tomorrow October 16th, so get ready. In the meantime, check out our photos of the Crimson-colored device!

Got a little bit of competition there, Nokia? We’d say so! Sony Ericsson, long know for pooping on us America consumers with non-850MHz phones has finally turned a corner. The Sony Ericsson K850i doesn’t just come quad-band — we’re talking tri-band UMTS/HSDPA action also! Such a glorious day. A 5 megapixel CyberShot camera graces the handset, as do countless other features and upgrades over previous S.E. products. We’re loving this device, too. The camera lens opens automatically like a real camera on the back, the keypad is a pleasure to use and is highly responsive. We’re zipping away at HSDPA speeds right now, so we’d say all systems are a “go!” If there was ever a time to do a battle, it would be between the Nokia N95, and the Sony Ericsson K850i. Right, Chris? Check out our shots below!

It was only a matter of time before we had a full scale iPod Touch Jailbreak, and thankfully the day of reckoning is upon us. iJailBreak is a slick little GUI that frees the overbearing shackles of Apple’s lockdown, and opens the platform up to a multitude of third party applications. The real rub here, though, is that iJailBreak was apparently written by a 13-year old kid by the name of AriX. Crazy, right? We’re quite certain that Apple will do their best to shut this down much like they’ve done with the iPhone Jailbreak process in the past, but for anyone with an iPod Touch running the most current firmware version, today is your lucky day.
