Razer Pro|Type - Keyboard with Built-in iPod Dock Review By ThinkComputers.org

A while ago Razer released the Tarantula gaming keyboard. It received great reviews and everyone I talked to said they really liked it. Razer has a new line called Razer Pro|Solutions. All of the Pro|Solutions products are more focused towards the consumer crowd. Today we are taking a look at the Razer Pro|Type Keyboard, which is based on the Tarantula gaming keyboard. What’s most noticeably different is there is an iPod dock right in the center of the keyboard. Actually it’s the world’s first keyboard with an integrated iPod dock. So let’s take a look.

Features

iPod Dock:
Synchronize and charge your iPod easily

10 Customizable Profiles:
Configure keyboard profiles according to your needs

10 Programmable Keys:
Switch Profiles and launch applications with a touch of a button

Ultra Touch-sensitive keys:
For enhanced and more precise key response

On-the-Fly Profile Switching:
Auto swap keyboard profiles upon program detection

Multimedia Hub:
Includes line-out and 2 USB ports for convenient connection to your peripherals

Media Hot Keys:
Provide one-touch access to media programs

Packaging

The Razer Pro|Type comes is a very large box. On the front of the box there is a picture of the keyboard showcasing the iPod docking feature. The back of the box has a smaller picture of the keyboard and lists the features.

Opening up the box the keyboard is set inside of a Styrofoam shell. It is wrapped in plastic to keep it clean. Inside you will find the keyboard, 2 iPod dock inserts, the software CD, and instructions.
