I got the chance to try a T-Mobile MDA Mail the other day and was immediately struck by the design and size which is in another league to most other smartphones on that market. Size wise it is similar to others from the likes of Samsung but it has a design you either do not like or fall in love with straight away.

My wife needed a new SIM card because she had lost her phone and was finding pay as you go a hassle and quite expensive. Her usage is minimal but does include the occasional text from abroad. I visited my local T-Mobile shop and after some discussion was offered the MDA Mail for GBP79.99 on a 12 month contract at GBP15 per month. The contract is quite clever as well- once you pass the £15 you have to top up pay as you go style which is a good compromise. In total this phone will cost GBP259.99 which is about the same as buying it offline yet there are a LOT of calls included. Throw in a few pounds to unlock it and it is a real bargain.
