Amosu 24 Carat Golden iPod :: It’s About Time!

iPod skins and laser etching are so bourgeois. If you are down with the Gizmodo, you know the only way we roll is in gold. That’s why we are happy to present Amosu’s new line of 24 carat gold (plated) iPods. Covered in hardened mirror gold, users can stare triumphantly at their beautiful, golden visage while rocking out to the new [fill in harp pop star of choice].

So how much will a golden iPod set you back?

30GB = $600
80GB = $800
Their Nanos don’t seem to be listed.

I know what you are thinking—”that’s way less than my golden sunglasses/yacht/pet cost me”. The only downfall is that the face is not covered in the glorious godmetal, so onlookers from certain angles will think that you are just some middle class hobo. Just flash them your best gold-toothed smile and they’ll know who’s boss.

AT&T to aim the iPhone at business users

AT&T plans to market the iPhone to business users in addition to consumers, but analysts aren’t recommending that enterprises supply workers with the phones.

Cingular, which acquired AT&T Wireless, recently decided that the iPhone will appeal to business users and the operator is now working hard to ensure that its back-end enterprise billing and support systems will accommodate the device when it ships, said a source familiar with the company’s plans, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

An AT&T spokesman said he couldn’t comment on the iPhone beyond when it will become available and its price. The phone is expected to become available in June. It will cost $499 or $599 depending on the memory size. Initially, AT&T will be the exclusive provider of the iPhone, although other service providers are expected to eventually start selling it as well.

the::unwired Reviews The Samsung SGH-i600 / Cingular Blackjack JAVOSkin Skin Case

The summer is coming soon (if not here already) and I thought about better protecting my latest gadget - the Samsung SGH-i600 Windows Mobile Smartphone while biking and commuting. As a matter of fact, as useful and good looking leather cases are for Pocket PCs, I don’t like leather cases for my mobile phones - I never used a leather case for a mobile phone since 1993.

I either carry my phones in my hand or just want to drop it into my pocket and that’s it. So I came across JAVOedge’s innovative JAVOSkins which are designed to protect devices from scratch and impact damage while retaining the sleek look of the device. Perfect I thought and the fine folks from JAVOedge send me one to be reviewed here and used after.

The JAVOSkin features strategically placed cut-outs to allow maximum usability. With these cut-outs, using the case would feel as though the case wasn’t on the device at all. JAVOSkin is easy on your hands with it’s soft texture. Made out of specially blended silicon materials, it can stretch and flex to cushion your device from hard bumps and falls. The EAD (Enhanced Anti Dust) coating gives the JAVOSkin case a softer surface to grab and significantly reduce dust which would accumulate on the surface. With this low-profile case, you get the best of both worlds: the device will remain fully usable, stylish and protected.
