JAVOscreen iPod screen protector review

I was very impressed with how easy it was to fit the protectors. They are nice and thick making it easy to apply them without getting troublesome air bubbles. It also means you can remove them for cleaning, something you can’t do with thinner screen guards. A cloth is provided so that you can clean the screen before applying.

Apple’s iPhone will be released on June 11

Now Cingular is confirming that the release date will be June 11. A customer service manager at Cingular (we called 800-947-5096 and were transferred to sales) gave us that date late Thursday, but, alas, said he didn’t have any additional information beyond that.

New iTunes Features: My Alerts and Complete My Album

Apple introduced two new features in iTunes today. My Alerts is custom page on iTunes which lists “recent releases from artists whose work you’ve purchased on iTunes.” and “Complete My Album” allows customers to purchase the remainder of an album for a discounted price.

High-res iPod shuffle colors gallery posted, in-store details added

iLounge has posted a full photo gallery showing off the newly colored second-generation iPod shuffles, along with comparison photographs against the same-colored iPod nanos, plus Proporta- and JAVOedge-branded colored shuffle shells designed to offer silver shuffle owners similar results. RIM Makes Adding Multimedia to BlackBerry Apps Easier

5178.gifNow that RIM is offering two models with real support for playing audio and video files, the company has announced that it is allowing developers to access the multimedia capabilities of the BlackBerry Pearl and 8800.

“Push-email paved the way for the early success of this market, but mobile applications will drive the next phase,” said Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO at Research In Motion. “We are now opening the BlackBerry platform further with the release of additional APIs that can help fuel the next wave of mobile applications in areas such as Social Networking, Multi-Media, eCommerce, News and Information Services, and Location-Based Services.”

HP Showing Off Its First Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone

wm6_logo.jpgThe CTIA Wireless tradeshow is going on now in Orlando, and HP using taking the opportunity to show off the iPAQ 510 Voice Messenger, the device that will be this company’s first smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.

Not part of the demonstration, though, is any word on when this device will hit the market, or what carriers will be offering it.

The reason for this is HP might still be be working on this iPAQ. In past few months, its screen resolution has changed from 176 by 220 pixels to 240 by 320 pixels.
