Mike Temporale at Smartphonethoughts.com has done a wonderful review on the iMate SP5m smartphone. There is a USA version of this phone which is called T-Mobile SDA. The only physical difference is the antenna cover or “hump” on the top portion of the SDA versus the flat top of the SP5m. All in all, this is a great rival smartphone to the Cingular 2125.

JAVOedge currently offers a JAVOSkin case for both USA T-Mobile SDA and the iMate SP5m. The difference is that one has cutouts on top to accommodate the “hump” while the other simple covers that top portion.

Pros:

Cons:

• EU power cable requires North American adapter;
• Poorly designed belt case.
